I entered as a model in the fashion industry in ’89 and then moved on to showbiz and acting. I’ve been in this industry for the past 22 years yet I find that there is so much to learn. There are no shortcuts in life. You may see the light at the end of the tunnel but you gotta do what you gotta do to reach it. I have earned my fair share of fame and fortune. Thanks to Allah for being kind to me in everything that I have done in life. My viewers like me in the role of a romantic hero and when I try to break away from that, they hesitate to accept.
Every single point in my life has been a turning point. Zaib-un-Nisa has a very special place in my career; it was the turning point in my acting profession. It made me take acting much more seriously than before. I am open to all kinds of characters but what I always look for is that the character should have some substance in it and especially when two experienced and established people join hands you are just expecting a good total out of it. But since I work very little now, I want to give good serials so I try to work with well established teams.
